Scarlet Strapko, the owner and manager of MediaFocus, completed four years of college studying Business Sciences with a major in marketing, graduating summa cum laude from the Fachhochschule Augsburg, Germany. She started her career as a Product Development Manager at WEKA Publishing in Germany and was later promoted to direct the graphic design department and product development department of WEKA Publishing, Inc. in CT. In 1996 she started her own business MediaFocus International, LLC, focusing on website development and stock photography.

MediaFocus specializes in designing custom websites for local businesses in Sarasota and Manatee County, ranging from simple small business presences to complete database driven e-commerce solutions. While designing visually appealing websites for it’s clients, MediaFocus puts strong emphasis on developing each website as a search engine optimized marketing tool, creating a balance of visual appeal and text, capturing the viewer’s attention, and guiding the visitor through a clear and easy website navigation.

Scarlet and her team of programmers employ the latest tools and techniques (CSS, Java, Javascript, MySQL, etc.) and stay current with trends and developments in search engine optimization (seochat.com, compete.com, Google trends, and many more). The selection of the right keywords is meticulously analyzed using various techniques. Keywords are placed in all strategically important places throughout the entire website to optimize it for search engine indexing. Achieving good search engine ranking is a continuous process. In support of their client’s goals, MediaFocus installs an analytics tool on each client’s website which allows them to monitor which keywords visitors use to find their website, where the visitors came from, where they are geographically located, how long they stay on the website and which pages they visit, and very important which pages they exit from.
